A quiet very English bar and old style family run hotel, simple good quality food reasonably priced, always friendly fast service. Pub lunch selection is excellent, plenty of parking. The friendly efficient staff are the best. White bait is one of the specials for lunchtime. A good place for modest sized birthday and Xmas dinners etc.

Friendly welcome. Room was clean and comfortable, Only niggle was lack of pressure in the shower. I ate in the bar area. Friendly, attentive service. I had the pork and black pudding terrine to start, followed by the pulled pork and apple pie, with chips and peas, washed down with a couple of pints of local ale. Very good food, prepared on site from local ingredients. Breakfast was eggs royale, again, very good, and the same great level of service.
I'm glad to say that I'm staying there again next week!

We have had an amazing stay here. Family owned and run. Honestly they can't do enough for you. All the little extras are amazing. Always happy to talk and give advice about places to visit. It felt so personal, such an amazing place to stay. Also please please try the restaurant, amazing food, and such a lovely place to eat. Thankyou everyone of your staff. Can't wait to come back.

we (family group) come to this hotel every year, has everything we need for visiting Cirencester. great location, good parking. The staff are most helpful , the rooms are clean and comfortable and the food is good, would recommend this hotel.

Looks a lot better on photos. The building is very sweet and the garden bit/ communal areas are nice, but the whole place could do with a bit of love. We stayed for one night while over for wedding nearby. The walls of the room were a bit dirty and tired looking. Breakfast was incredibly bland. I feel at that price point I was expecting a tad bit more. Very friendly and lovely staff though and overall alright for a short stay.

A comfortable hotel commanding a perfect location in Cirencester. After a good nights sleep, we were served a very tasty full English breakfast. This is a hotel with very friendly and helpful staff.

Stayed here whilst away for work. Close to the event I attended. Room was comfy, breakfast was awesome especially the locally sourced sausages

Wonderful hotel. Very friendly. Great service. Good food. Superb location. The only slight drawback was the shower which wasn't particularly good but aside from the shower - top notch!

We stayed just one night and most things very good - service, location (Cirencester was a knock-out), food quality was overall very good except one major item - the condiments (eg pepper/salt/vinegar, jams, marmalade) were from the 1970s! Very easy to get a large jar of nice jam etc and self serve into one's own small dish etc.
But even this won't stop us using this hotel again

Just had a fantastic Sunday roast dinner. 2 or 3 course's available. Food was great and the service was excellent. Staff very helpful and friendly. Will definitely return again.
